Turquoise is a stone of high regard to Native Americans and has been used extensively in jewellery, beadwork and pottery
Navajo and Zuni Native Americans believe turquoise to encourage rain. They would throw the stone into the river whilst praying to the spirits
It is believed to bring good luck, protection and is a talisman to be worn when creativity and ambition are needed
Symbolic of good fortune, it also holds protective energies to its keeper
Spiny Oyster is widely used by Native Americans in their jewellery designs, and being from the Cherokee Tribe I had to add these to our Collections!
The Spiny Oyster originates off the Pacific Coast and belongs to the family of large mollusks. Sometimes called thorny oyster.
They are collected and harvested for their shells which are used in jewellery designs. Their beautiful shells contain the fiery orange and red coral colouring that combines beautifully with the vibrant turquoise
Metaphysically healing vibes for bringing calm to our minds, helping lethargy and easing depression with it’s peaceful energies. It may ease respiratory illness
Please do not wear in water, it can over time damage turquoise
To clean use a soft polishing cloth as needed or damp paper towel
All jewellery within this collection is genuine Authentic Native American crafted by Tribes of Navajo or Zuni
Each is stamped Sterling and some contain artist name or initials (when space permits) which represents their work
Please don’t expect perfection these are made traditionally, not on a fancy machine!
These are unique one off designs that have the artist, their love and tradition poured into their work
Natural turquoise always contains surface indentations and multi coloured hues, this ensures it’s the real deal and not fake
All turquoise used comes from the mines in either Nevada, Arizona or New Mexico 🌵🏹
