Traditionally, we burn white sage first to purify our space, body or possessions of any lower energies, illness and bad spirits. We then burn SweetGrass to attract blessings, feel peace and  call in the good spirits to our space. Native American cultures have used this method of cleansing and healing along with medicine men and Shamans.

I have Native American  blood from Cherokee/Lumbee on my paternal father and grandfather lineage. I use Sweetgrass and feathers in the mornings as part of my spiritual routine. It allows me to send love and gratitude to my Ancestors in the smoke. In return they send guidance and protection.

Sweetgrass braids are life!  They hold profound sacred and cultural significance for many Indigenous peoples across America and Canada. 
The rustic strands tie us to Mother Earth. Representing the mind, body, and spirit working together in unit. With love, peace, and togetherness we are all interwoven. The braid is symbolic and strong showing the resilience of family and community. This beautiful herb grows long, graceful blades, sweetgrass is frequently referred to as the hair of Mother Earth.
