Wayne has made these gorgeous dangles in our little hinterland studio, using sterling silver hooks and beautiful carved polished cabochons featuring Apache tear and pyrite

This beautiful stone is imbued with rich spiritual meaning. With my Cherokee roots, I feel a strong affinity for the legend of Apache Tears.

In the 1870s, Apache warriors were attacked by US Calvary forces on Arizona's Apache Leap Mountain. Rather than surrender, they rode their horses off the mountain, meeting their demise. The news devastated the Apache women and families, who wept for a month. Their tears transformed into stones, now known as Apache Tears, which are said to protect the bearer from sorrow.

Apache Tears are believed to unlock and release emotions tied to grief, helping you move forward. They also offer metaphysical healing properties, including relief from muscle spasms, lower body blockages, and skin irritations.

Pyrite is a protective stone, shielding against harm and danger. It's beneficial for travel and guarding against manipulation. Pyrite promotes vitality, overcomes mental fatigue, and stimulates blood flow to the brain, increasing mental clarity. This stone is also believed to aid in healing various health issues.

Please don’t drown your jewellery in water or suffocate it with lotions and perfumes. Treat it right, and it'll sparkle on, it’s so easy to keep for a lifetime!
